Our first camping trip of the year was to Camp O'Rear near Jasper. This is one of the council camps which has a nice creek flowing through it and a really neat "rock house" down the creek. Since it was hot, we did spend some time playing in the creek, but our main activity was rock climbing. Our troop has all the safety gear required for safe climbing, and all of us, including the first year scouts, took a turn at climbing the rock wall just down from the "rock house".
